Rhonda - Reliable & Zealous Gardener with a Love of Felines
Rhonda is the co-owner of the garden center. She has owned this business for
10 years and she provides Landscape Consultation and Design Services as well as
free gardening seminars for the public.
Rhonda's favorite topic is "Woody Shrubs" and her favorite plant - THIS MONTH
- it changes pretty regularly - is Edgeworthia, AKA, Rice Paper Plant.
Rhonda is a native of Campobello, SC. She has been happily married for 9 years
. Rhonda
is the proud new mother of John, her 3 year old son and she also has 1 cat,
Zorro.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a Landscape Management Certificate
in
Horticulture.
Rhonda's horticulture background started as a pre-teen with her Grandmother Williams
who grew Hummingbird Vine up her front porch and into her hemlock tree, along
with "popper" plants, "Easter Egg Thorn", and "Tommy Toe" tomato plants.
Rhonda has been the guest speaker at several area garden clubs in
Tryon, NC; Spartanburg, Greer, Traveler's Rest, Greenville and Landrum, SC. Rhonda
has also been the guest speaker for the
Gaston County Master Gardeners
in Gaston County, N.C. and she has spoken at the SCNLA annual meeting. She is
also the
program director for gardening seminars at the
Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center (FENCE) in Tryon, NC.
